The Oyster Yachts of British yard has declared its fresh design, a sloop-rigged sailing yacht of 27.12 meters called Oyster 895.
Developed in association with Rob Humphreys Yacht Design, the yacht Oyster 895 is based on the design of outgoing Oyster 885, which has produced ten hulls. The fresh arrival features of the yacht include a little longer LOA and a deck layout redesigned, however the beam of 6.33 meters and standard draught of 3.46 meters are unaltered.
The main difference between the yachts could be found in the centralized weight distribution and system upgrades which will bring the 27 meters of yard offering more in line with its 118 series flagship Oyster.
CEO of Oyster Yachts, David Tydeman concluded the changes done in yacht by saying “20 major tooling pieces have been used in the yacht to construct the 885 and on the 895; we are reusing only four in them.” Continue reading
